8 | tart apples (Rome or Ida Red are good) | ||

1/4 | cup | lemon juice | |
|
|||
1 1/2 | teaspoons | grated lemon peel | |
|
|||
2 1/2 | cups | granola cereal with fruit and nuts | |
|
|||
1 | cup | granulated sugar | |
|
|||
1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | butter, melted | |
|
Coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Add apples, lemon juice and lemon peel; toss together.
Combine granola, sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Drizzle with butter. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or until the apples are tender. Serve warm.
